Fr. Mathew Karimpanackal (Cheppad) elevated to the order of Ramban at St. Peter & St. Paul Cathedral, Mor Aphrem Seminary, Damascus.

 

 

Rev. Fr. Mathew Karimpanackal, Cheppad elevated to the order of Ramban at St. Peter & St. Paul Patriarchal Cathedral, Mor Aphrem Seminary, Damascus, on February 09, Wednesday.

Ordination ceremony was consecrated by Mor Philoxenos Matthias Nayis, the Patriarchal Assistant, assisted by Mor Severios Malke Mourad (Patriarchal Vicar of Jerusalem & Jordan) and Mor Dionysius Yuhanon Kawaq (Patriarchal Office Director) metropolitans. Rev. Fr. Mathew Karimpanackal will henceforth be known as “Mattha (Mathews) Ramban”. Final consummation service of ordination was blessed by The Patriarch His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas.

Morning prayer started at 8:00 AM and Holy Qurbono at 9.00 AM Ordination was done in between the Qurbono after the bartsmalko. Rev. Deacon Barsoma also elevated to the order of Ramban along with Rev. Fr. Mathew will henceforth be known as Barsoma Ramban. At present Mattha (Mathews) Ramban is serving as secretary to His Holiness for English affairs and Indian affairs and Barsoma Ramban is a student of the Mor Aphrem Seminary in Damascus.
