Under the auspices of Martha Mariam Vanitha Samajam, Muscat St.Mary's Jacobite Syrian Church Unit,a health Seminar is scheduled to be held on 28th May, 2010 at St.Mary's Chapel, Ruwi. The Seminar will be inaugurated by Dr.A.R.Vijayalakshmi, MBBS,DGO,MD,MRCOG of Khoula Hospital, Muscat jointly with Dr.Sony Varghese, MBBS,MD,FRCP. Two sessions on Gynaecology and Cardiology will be held during the one day Seminar. The Vicar Rev.Fr.Alias Ipe will preside over the Seminar and deliver the key-note address.Mrs.Jolly Babu, Vice-President, Mrs.Bini Jolly, Secretary, Mrs.Bindu Thomas Trustee will be the convenors for different Programme Committees. |

"Devalokam Society" officially claimed in their news service that 3 lakh internet viewers watched their program held at Kottayam recently live. They used "Freedocast", which is a free streaming service and even a child knows above said numbers are not supported by them. Also they don't offer the bandwidth to support the claimed numbers. We got the official confirmation from "freedocast" that, at any cost they never support more than 1000 viewers at a time. Again they proved they are big blown balloon. The day this balloon is going to blast is not too far away.

St. George Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Melbourne celebrated its fourth St. George feast (valiyaperunnal) on 2nd May 2010 at St. Aphrem Syrian Orthodox Church, 2-4, Joffre Street, Reservoir, VIC - 3000. The Holy Qurbono was celebrated by Fr. George Vayaliparambil who was the previous vicar of St. Mary's Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Sydney who was assisted by the vicar Fr. Boby Thomas.
Followed by the Holy Qurbono, Procession,. Nercha and the Auction; St.George Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church bid a honourable farewell to Fr. George Vayaliparambil for his whole hearted service to the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand for two years on behalf of the Diocese Council.

Rev.Fr.Alias Ipe (St.Mary's Jacobite Parish), Rev.Fr.Geevarghese James (Orthodox),Rev.T.P.Mathew, Rev.Jacob Paul (Marthoma), Rev.P.C.Joseph (CSI) spoke on the occasion representing various apostolic Churches from Malankara.

Metropolitan of Niranam, Dr. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese addressed the Pre-Assembly forum for people living with HIV and AIDS at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia yesterday, April 12, 2010. Mor Coorilos gave a theological presentation on Christian Care for People Living with HIV-AIDS. The Pre-Assembly forum was attended by 60 people comprising of bishops, church leaders, theologians, medical professionals, counsellors and people living with HIV and AIDS. Mor Coorilos will also address the Assembly of the Christian Conference of Asia on the 19th. The Assembly will commence on the 14th and will conclude on the 21st. Mor Coorilos is also representing the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church at the Assembly and His Grace is also one of the resource persons for the Assembly as well as pre-assembly meetings.

MUSCAT: The Feast of Mor Gregorious Abdul Jaleel Bava entombed at St.Thomas Jacobite Syrian Church, North Paravur will be observed with piety and fervor at St.Mary's Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Muscat on 25th April, 2010. Holy Qurbana will be offered by the Vicar Rev.Fr.Alias Ipe followed by special intercessory prayer with incense. "Mor Gregorious Abdul Jaleel Bava: Navigator of Jacobite Syrian Church in the 17th Century A.D"- memorial talk will be held during the Holy Qurbana. Hundreds of faithful would attend the Perunal.

Washing of the Feet Service at Mepral St. John's Church |

Mor Coorilos Geevarghese will conduct the washing of the feet service at St. John's Jacobite Syrian Church, Mepral. The service will be coducted at 2.30 pm on Maundy Thursday. Mor Coorilos will wash the feet of the cextons (the main altar assistants) of various churches in Niranam diocese. The Holy week services are being led by Mor Coorilos in different churches in Niranam diocese. Hosanna service was held at st. Mary's church, Mazhuvangadu. Maundy Thursday service will be at St. Mary's Church, Anjilithanam, Giood Friday service at St. Mary's Church, Paramkal and Esater service at Chennithala Horeb Church.
