“Kolenchery church should hand over to its factual title-holder”: Demands Angamaly Gospel Mission Youth Directorate

 

“Kolenchery St. Peter’s & St. Paul’s Church, ancestral property of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church should hand over to its bona fide possessor and the Government should take necessary steps to defend the birth-rights of the parishioners as proclaimed by the Order of the Hon. Supreme Court…” Youth Mission Directorate of the Angamaly region Gospel Mission demanded in a statement made here on 6th October, 2013. Rev.Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal, Director of the Youth Mission extended full support for the ongoing struggles for Freedom for adoration at the inherited ancient church. “The Church must be administered imbibing the sap of the Supreme Court Order and the pact made in 1913, soon after the establishment of Catholicate, which underlines the authority of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Community at large. The Church Constitution of 1934 is not at all relevant and binding with respect to the general administration of the Kolenchery Church. He, along with Youth members from Angamaly Region visited the church and taken part in the struggle for freedom. Shri. Sunny Pynadath, Member of Church Managing Committee from Manjapra Parish, Shri. V.J. Eldhose, T.V. Elias Thadikkaran, Eldhose Varghese, Naiju, V.C. Mathai accompanied him.
