NCCI Organizes a Consultation on Discrimination of Dalit and Adivasi Students in Education

 

 

Delhi :  The Commissions on Dalits and Public Witness of the National Council of Churches in India (NCCI) and the Just and inclusive Communities a program of the WCC together organized a consultation on “Churches Addressing the Challenges of Discrimination and Marginalization of Dalit and Adivasi Students in Education” at the YMCA, New Delhi from 13-14 August 2012. Prof. T. K. Oommen, Professor Emeritus, JNU delivered the key-note address. Rt. Rev. Dr. V. Devasahayam led the opening worhsip. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese of Niranam Diocese moderated a session on Churches Response to the Problem of Discrimination. Rev. Dr. Deenabandhu Manchala of WCC gave the valedictory address. Rev. Sunil Raj Philip and Mr. Samuel Jayakumar, were the chief organizers.
