St.Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Church Muscat bid an elegant sent-off to Fr.Alias Ipe

 

MUSCAT: Members of the St.Mary’s JSC, Muscat gave an elegant sent-off to Rev.Fr.Alias Ipe, Vicar of the Parish on 30th September, 2010 soon after the Holy Qurbana. Rev.Mathew P.Thomas, Vicar of the Marthoma Church in Oman inaugurated the function. Rev.Mathew Oommen (St.James CSI Church), Rev.Fr.Joby Varghese, Rev.Fr.Shinson,Rev.Jacob Paul and Mr.Reji Abraham spoke on the Occasion highlighting the commendable service extended by Rev.Fr.Alias Ipe during his tenure as Vicar. “The Christian Community in Oman will miss the magnificent presence of a visionary and an active negotiator of the Ecumenical Movement by the transfer of Rev.Fr.Alias Ipe”-Rev.Mathew Oommen of Oman CSI Church said. In his reply speech, Rev.fr.Alias Ipe expressed his deep sense of gratitude to all those who shouldered responsibilities in his parish ministry as well as ecumenical affairs at large.

 

Mr.Saju Paulose, secretary of the parish welcomed the gathering and Mr.K.K.Thomas, the Trustee rendered the vote of thanks. A sumptuous dinner was arranged to all present.
